  1. you should really start doing your own homework

  2. Durkeim saw social conflict as the result of competing value systems.  Marx sees conflict as resulting from an oppressed labor class (the Proletariat) being controlled and manipulated by those who own the means of production (the Bourgeoisie).  The labor class fights against this oppression in an effort to gain power and control over resources.

  3. Marx sees the world through the conflict perspective. More people are getting and starting to question things; through the usage of criticism and street analysis which involves looking at the world through Marx's lenses. His conflict theory is somewhat like this: as social forces fought each other (old vs. new) Old technologies would conflict new ones and society evolve. He believed people have the power  to create social change. People had to want social change in order for it to occur.

Marx also belived; the world was divided into two capitalist and proletariat's. Proletariat's were being exploited while the capitalist became richer and richer. Economic determinist meant that everything was determined by economics. Depending how much money was made, you were placed into a social class position that determined life style.

    Hope this helps.
