In convex quadrilateral ABCD, the area of triangle ABC is 3, the area of triangle CDA is 4, and the area of triangle DAB is 5. What is the area of triangle BCD? I got 5 after drawing it. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

  1. Together area ABC + area CDA = area ABCD

    3 + 4 = 7

Same thing for DAB + BCD

    so the answer is 7 - 5 = 2.
