Places that are stricken with poverty, aids and little to no food, you know the commericals you see on T.V about children dying because they have no food, AIDS is rampant in the areas etc.

We give them money, we donate everything we can yet nothing is helping them, its a simple solution, Stop having s*x, stop having children that you can't afford to feed, that die and starve?

WHY on earth do we not give them condoms, why do they keep having children when they know they cant afford to feed them or take care of them. WHY do they have s*x with everyone knowing AIDS is rampant and almost everyone has it ? Why do they make these babies suffer?

All we are doing is supporting their own destruction, why are we wasting money that could help poor families and children in our own country on people who just don't get it?

Its a sad thing to say but it would be better if they just realized that if they keep having s*x with aids keep having multiple children who are going to starve die or spread more aids and keep this going, that they need to just accept their fate, stop having children die off and give the area a better chance for survival so people can live there and start new. Its not like they aren't going to die anyways everyone does, why not break the cycle?

Is it wrong? Is it wrong to accept what you have done, what has happened and make the choice not to suffer anymore live your life without children to save them from the fate they are already going to be born into?

I just don't get it. You can't cure AIDS, not yet at least.

  1. You certainly have your opinion but it comes from absolute ignorance about the situation. Many of these countries are poverty stricken and stuck with corrupt governments because of outside involvement of rich nations in the first place; using these countries to exploit its people and resources and as pawns in the Cold War. Supporting one terrorist organization because it was against another organization. Perhaps if people in rich nations had died off then these people wouldn't be in the predicaments that they are in.

Those commercials you talk about go towards helping one individual. You can help one person and give them a better life but that doesn't change the overall status of his/her country. People like you ought to be forced to live that way for a few years and see you cut it.

  2. In poor countries one of the things they lack is tests for aids, so many  people  do not know they have it  until  severe symptoms appear. Also in many of these countries have traditional societies and it is not the woman who decide how many children to have. The most effective program to reduce  birth rates is to empower women, because they will usually make the same choices you would when they have a choice.

It is only recently that the US has supported  major programs  to fight Aids so we do not know yet how effective they will be. You  like most American  greatly over estimate  how much aid we give to poor nations. Even when the help is available, local resources are needed to  get it to the people and many  of the governments are corrupt and steal the money or incompetent or do not have the infrastructure to deliver health care or even condoms. If the problem were simple it would have been solved, and the US  programs are distorted by the pro life forces in out government so often  are not as effective as they should be.

  3. this as a very important question as AIDS is more than just an issue of priority, let explain the 'WHY' that you are asking...first of all their is too much ignorance and the root cause of it is illiteracy, the people or the strata of society we talk about, when we mention the terms POVERTY, UNEMPLOYMENT, ETC .other social evils..we look at the most neglected part of the society...for eg, in Africa their is the practice of AIDS patients(men to be specific) having s*x with virgin girls of very tender ages as they have a baseless belief that one gets cured by doing this..shocking?! i dont believe in just providing them with condoms as long as they arent cured of their mental sickness..for that the government should provide all the rural areas as well as urban poor areas with proper information about sexual diseases and other kinds of hygienic help. but on the other side we also see reputed newspapers providing with help with doubts on s*x realted problems..its easy to ignore that column or for some it might be something amusing..but no one helps thinking that if the literate people are facing these problems what would be the condotion of the illiterate?..we see highly educated people asking help after having anal intercourse which most of the times leads to AIDS...there are many such problems but i would appreciate if the authorities would concentrate more on public awareness programmes..

  4. Your opinion on the matter is such a ridiculous stereotype of american ignorance on the subject that I wouldn't even know where to begin in response.  Suffice to say we actually give very little to help countries with high rates of HIV.  We tell people who earn 500 dollars a year that they have to fork up 50000 a year for treatments.  We tell people with a 3rd grade education to lift them selves out of poverty by being smarter... We buy oil from corrupt governments that only help the privileged elite classes of their society.  We ask why are things so bad in regions of the world that had racial aparteids until only 17 years ago....

  5. should support them with aid, educate them to follow safe s*x methods, give them the basic education, because litracy is the only solution for poverty and AIDS.
