In cricket is batsman out when ball hit pad first and batsman stops the ball with bat going on to stumps?

In Cricket

batsman was not out LBW. ball hit the pads first but while the ball is going onto the stumps, batsman stopped the ball with bat.

Is the batsman considered out ?

  3. No, he can stop the ball from hitting the stumps.

  5. If the batsman stop the ball hitting the stump with his bat, he is not out.

  6. No he is not as he has not touched the ball initially with the bat .Th second touch though intentional is well within his rights.

    As long as he stops the ball using his legs or his bat he is not out. If he uses his hands to stop the ball he is declared out (handling the ball).

  10. The batsman is allowed to knock the ball away from the stumps if he has not already touched the ball with his bat.So pad and then bat is legal.

    He is also allowed to kick it away,if the ball has touched something beforehand,otherwises it would be LBW

    You are not allowed to obstruct the ball's passage if the fielders are involved
