runs on. Can the batter's go for more runs?

Also if a fielder accidently knocks the bails off when he doesn't have the ball, does that mean the batter cannot be subsequently run out using those stumps?

  1. He can run on.

And the bails have to go back before he is run out again.

It is advantage to the batter.

  2. the batter can go for more runs and when the fielder knocks the bails off by accident the batsmen can not be run out at those stumps

  3. Yes the batsman go for runs even if the bails are knocked off.

The only way the batsman can be run out when the bails are off

is for the fielding side to uproot the stumps.

In case if a fielder has accidentally knocked off the bails, the

batsman can still take a run if exists, but again the run out can

only happen if the fielder puts the bails back or uproots the

    stumps from the ground.
