The translation would be to "slip stitch in the chain seven space".  It's really a good idea to learn how to read a pattern before attempting a project. The most difficulty I have had in the past with crocheting was interpreting patterns, not with the stitches. so - work a slip stitch in the 7 chain space of the previous row.
