  1. Not so much to straighten the arm, but follow though on the throw and do the same thing on every dart. If you search YouTube for Phil taylor, watch how his arm moves - his is a great example to model... hope this helps!

  2. I have been throwing darts for a while and have had moderate success on a national level, and this is the best way i can tell you to throw.

Your arm/bicep should be straight. Your forearm should be straight, alomst like a hammer. Imagine your forarm as the handle and your hand/dart as the hammer's head. It should just fall straight and natural, not fast just slow and easy.

    Hope that helps...

  3. I'm sure if you can hit the board and the number you wish to hit, you're perfectly fine, I'm 15 too, i've played darts for a few weeks now, i'm really not that great. So keep practicing, and yes, everyone has a different technique....

  4. It is usually quite important to straighten your arm (depending on your style) you could call it a hook that pulls your dart to ..well usually the left.

I used to hook sometimes, when i did i would stand to the left and aim slightly to the right to compensate for it.

  5. its just a personal thing as you say, try it see if your aim improves, i don't straighten mine btw
