1) Why can't you watch DVDs while driving? I'm not going to be watching them, my passenger is. How do i get around it.

2) Is it worth the money for them?$350+

3) Does anyone who has one have complaints on them?

4) Which would you reccomend for someone who wants to spend less than $500.

Want touchscreen, front connecters (i.e. ipod, aux), remote, and i prefer a fixed screen but motorized is cool, 6.5" screen or larger

  1. You can't watch DVD's while driving because it's distracting and a good way to get in a crash. Many people get them and don't intend to watch them while they drive but it ends up being too temping.

If you prefer a sound system that is based more on AV than sound quality and different ways to manipulate the audio portion, than yes it is worth it. Generally the more expensive the AV unit the better quality it will be-you get what you pay for.

For less than $500 I would, without hesitation, recommend the Pioneer AVH-P4000DVD. Pioneer makes really great stuff. It is a fixed screen (touch screen). I don't know if it comes with a remote but I assume it does. I know that it definately has auxilliary inputs for iPod. It also has a 6.1" widescreen. I would get it off the internet as it will probably be cheaper. This unit seems to be exactly what you're looking for. Check it out:
