In dash gps vs reg.?

well i am going to get a 2009 eclipse hopefully lol, but i really need a gps system and it does not come with one, well the ones that u buy in the store do they work just as well as the indash? like they tell u exactly where to turn and stuff? also can u get the pop up ones no matter what are u have?

also could u give me some good brands for them? how much do each of these cost like a gps u buy at a store or a pop up gps or a indash? thank u!

The ones in store like Magellan and TomTom work as well/even better than the in dash unit. They cost between $150.00-$500.00. Even the most basic $150.00 works great includes maps of the 48 states and canada. Indash gps cost thousands of dollars. The portable ones can be used in several different cars not just limited to that one car.
