Since I Broke-Up with my EX, I find that I am forever explaining that I am staying single until after the end of the tournament, it is only fair

As women tend to mind when I don’t pay them any mind, when the sport is on!

I truly don’t mind if they are in the house, I just don’t notice

And I won't stand for any chat from them when football, or something important is on, absolutely no talking, no comments, no opinions.

Is it the same in your house?

So it’s a good thing right? Yes?

  1. My gf is less than pleased with the summers programme of sports. We have the Euro Championships now and then the Olympics. Sometimes she is in the room while I'm watching, at which point I might say something like "Arsharvin's movement is excellent. He's running the midfield." Annoyingly, she keeps darting into the room in the last 3 minutes of a game to ask me some question about washing or saucepans or some such nonsense.

I think you are being perfectly reasonable. If you want to watch the sports, then go ahead and do that. We've got plenty on this summer. To be honest, I'm looking for a cheap second TV so I can shut myself in another room and watch sports. That will mean she can happily watch "America's next top model" or "q***r eye for the straight guy" or whatever other c**p she wants on.

  2. The Olympics totally forgot about them with the Eurocup O.o

Entwined do the Public viewing its more fun anyway.

    GO ITALIA !!

  3. You can do as you please before, during, and after the Olympics.  No it will not be this way in my house.  I enjoy my girlfriend's chatter, and she is a joy to be around - regardless of what is on the tube.

But do not be surprised if no one wants YOUR company as well.

  4. Hey, it's your life. When do the Olympics start? Are they still running around with the torch? Never mind, I'll google it.

  5. No..I dont think its a problem. As long as you make it clear to the other person from the start. That you want to focus on the olympics...If they are not happy with that...its their problem. We are all different and should respect our friends/partners and their  need for their own space/interests/ beliefs etc.

  6. Why are you going to waste your summer watcing TV?

I wouldn't waste my time on a guy who only wanted to watch sports so much to the point that I had to give him "space" to do so.

You should never let TV control your life, that's just stupid

The thing is to, that when the Olympics are over, you'll be a fat couch potatoe and no one will want to hook up with you.

  7. Get a married chick till the Olympix are over.

They are happy with a beer and a quickie....erm...meal, and don't hang around after school hours.

    .

  8. True, but you must not ignore the

    horizontal Olympics.

  9. sure, you can do what you like, just don't be surprised if some of them aren't there when the olympics finish

i couldn't be bothered with a man who preferred sport on tv to my company
