In defense of sterilization?

what are supports of sterilization based on economic, intellectual, and psychological standards?

Economic---gross overpopulation in some areas of the world causes mass fatalities

Intellectual---severly retarded people shouldn't bear children

Psychological---some serious mental illnesses are hereditary

Depends whose answering - I think it is a basic human right not to be compulsorily invaded by anyone but then coercive sterilization was performed on me at 23 years old and I have lived with the bitterness all of my life.

I would say there is no defence.

Compulsory birth control would not be so invasive.
