My question is how much downward force/velocity is necessary to break a bone in one's leg (preferably the weakest bone).

Please give answer in m/s or N

  1. There are so many variables between the weakest bones on different individuals that its hard to give a precise measure, but according to what I've learned in Karate i would say 14lbs.


  2. I don't believe that bones exist and I think this is a conspiracy devised by anatomists.

  4. I have seen bones broken from falling down from a standing position or while walking.  People who have unhealthy bones are in danger from small forces.  Variables also include the angle and location of the force.
