In desperate need of help!! Contemporary issue for english?

Question

I need a contemporary issue for english, one that i can use in a persuasive speech. It has to be something that has been in any kind of media- and i have to have a viewpoint on it, to persuade the audience to do something about the issue. PLEASE please please help!!
