Like, if there was a court case in the Supreme Court of, say, Ohio, is there a court above the Ohio Supreme Court?

  1. The Federal Supreme court if it will hear the appeals (not likely)

  2. Most cases from the state Supreme Court can only be reviewed by the United States Supreme Court.  (There are a few exceptions, which by statute would go to the federal district courts.)

  3. There are two judicial systems in the United States, there is the state courts and there are the federal courts. The Supreme Court of a State is the terminal court in a state matter. There is no court above them, however any federal court, be it a district, appellate, or the Supreme Court of the United States, can overturn state court rulings. This very very very rarely happens. For all practical purposes, it is the highest court in state matters.

  4. Only the US Supreme Court.  However, the US. Supreme Court can only review cases that raise a federal or constitutional issue.  A case that concerns state law exclusively is beyond its jurisdiction.

  5. I guess that would be the government itself.

Supreme Court is the highest rank in the courts.

THe Supreme Court usually resolve the problem.

If not, it would go to the government.

    Sometimes, the president himself.
