  1. Often referred to generally as SPED or special ed.

More specificly SPED children can be classified as either RSP or SDC. Meaning they are in either a Resource Specialized Program or Special Day Class.

RSP is usually a pull-out and SDC is usually all day long.

SPED students can also be ED or MDD.  These terms change a lot.  Emotionally disabled or Mildly developmentally disabled.

  2. Or Special Ed (Special Education)

    Mentally Impaired

  3. Depends on the context.  Often SpEd  or SpecialEd for Special Educational needs, as a group.  Sometimes called IDEA kids, because of the acronym of the public law that defines special needs.  Sometimes referred to by a local law acronym instead, or by the abbreviation of a specific disability.

(There are lots and lots of unofficial terms, none of which are particularly kind.)

  4. Special Needs Children

  5. Special Needs Children is the term most people use.  Or handicapped children.

  6. IEP (Individual extracurricular program i think)

  7. gt

    gifted and talented

  8. SPED Children  =  Special Education Children

Special Ed Children = Special Education Children

In People First Language (PFL) they are called "Children With Disabilities".

  9. I don't know if there is a specific "term", but I've heard them most commonly referred to as "children with special needs" or "special ed kids".

  10. I had an IEP in high school until my senior year, then I had a 504. Mostly these papers just stated I had ADHD and was taking medication and I could get extra help if I needed it, but I was still in the Special Education or Needs group, even though I took regular classes and not the special needs ones.

  11. Sped, for special education.

    Child with needs.

They usually have an IEP Individual Education Plan

Private schools have ILP Individual Learning Plan.
