  1. I have always favoured products like Ice tight which is a ice clay like product.  However, you need to ensure that your horses legs are clean of cuts etc.  If they have cuts then do not apply.

  2. Believe it or not The Times news paper.

You will need a bucket of cold water (with one or two of those ice pack things you keep in the freezer to keep your picnic cool)

    The Times

    Leg bandages

    A sponge.

Sponge off the legs with cold water.

Wrap legs double thickness folded paper and bandage.

Its easy as the paper sticks to wet legs.

You can keep wetting the bandages or replace the whole thing if needed.

When cooled remove bandage and hose off, dry off

    Apply dry bandage/fleece/travel boot.

  3. I've always found things like like ice or ice blue which is a cooling putty works best. Also ice packs and bandages have also been popular. I love like ice because you can keep it on for as long as u like and keep adding to it.
