In expensive but fun things to do?

can you give me some fun things for me and my mom to do this afternoon. we wanna go out but not anywhere thats more than a 30 - 45 minute drive. in Chambersburg,Pa. or just an idea that can work no matter where you live

If there are any dollar movie theaters, sometimes those can be fun, not too expensive. The ones here aren't air-conditioned very cool but I usually get cold in theaters any way. My daughter and I used to sneak in snacks, after they made us throw our drinks away one time. We both brought large purses, lol. If there are any arts and craft shows, they are usually interesting. Don't know how far you are from Amish country, that would be a nice diversion for a weekend day.

Paint or make pottery...its fun, messy, and a great way to bond with family and friends. Plus, there is always usually one within a half hour drive.
