  6. The Sleeper picks for this year Fantasy Football (2008)...

QB: Matt Schaub, Houston and Aaron Rodgers, Green Bay

Schaub is one of those player that I believe can improve in his second year as the starting QB. His first year with Houston was mostly decent, considering that he miss 5 games and didn't have Andre Johnson to pass to for much of the season. He enter this season with a healthy Johnson back and if he can stay healthy himself, could provide a breakout season for Houston.

The jury is still out for new Green Bay QB Aaron Rodgers. A former first round pick of the 2005 Draft, Rodgers was consider the best QB in that class (and a top 10 pick) but his stock fell after Alex Smith was chosen first and fell on Green Bay's lap at number 24. He's been thru the high's and low of being Brett Favre protege for the past three season. Now he get's the chance to show the other 23 teams of the 2005 draft what there missing. Rodgers has ready-made weapons in Greg Jennings and Donald Driver, as well as a great RB in Ryan Grant, so it'll be interesting how Rodgers fare in his first season as the starting QB.

    RB: Kevin Smith, Detroit

Not to be confused with 'Silent Bob', this Kevin Smith is making a lot of noise in the NFL, considering that he a third round pick in this year draft. His competition isn't that great (Tatum Bell and Brian Calhoun) and the offense, despite the presence of Roy Williams and Calvin Johnson, calls for a more zone running scheme, which Smith ran last season at Central Florida. He's tall for a RB (6'1) but will rely more on speed than power (only 211 lbs.) and the Lions OL has a good history of producing good season for a RB. Johnathan Stewart is another RB that I like in Carolina but it always been a jigsaw puzzle over there.

WR: Drew Bennett, St. Louis and Ted Ginn, Jr., Miami

Bennett struggle last season as the Rams third WR but with Issac Bruce gone, Bennett is entrench as the second WR on the Greatest Show on Turf. Torry Holt is going to get a lot of double coverage and Steven Jackson is going to be the focal point by opposing defense, so expect a lot of passes heading toward Bennett way. Ginn was basically lost in Miami (so was everybody else on the team) and was criticized heavily as the number 9 pick last season, although it was Miami who was at fault for making him the primary kick returner. Rookie QB Chad Henne is still a year away from producing, so it's likely going to be a John Beck-Chad Henne carousel for much of the season. Ginn will have to justify his status as the number 9 pick this season, on matter which QB is throwing to him.

TE: Kevin Boss, New York Giants

Boss is a perfect example of the phrase "Fish out of the water." He was basically a roster-filler 5th round pick last season, backing up Jeremy Shockey. But when Shockey went down, Boss pick up the pieces and produce, even starting at the Super Bowl this year. His performance was good enough to send Shockey away to New Orleans, paving the way for Boss as the defacto starter. He might not be an exciting name like Gates, Witten, or Gonzalez but he could be a decent TE in his first year as a starter.

    K: Mason Crosby, Green Bay

He was the best kicker of 2007 but he's been left undrafted for some reason this year in favor of Nick Folk and Adam Viniteri. Number one kickers usually come out of nowhere and history maybe against Crosby side as the best kicker usually regress by the following year. Still, with a decent offense, Crosby can still have opportunity to kick.

    DEF: Tennessee

The Titans might be the most underrated defense in this league. While everybody is paying attention to Minnesota and San Diego as the best defense, the Titans are clearly better on the other side of the ball, especially with DT Albert Haynseworth. With Haynseworth, the Titans just basically got better and a full season with him means a better season.
