Question:

In football is it better to run with short strides or long strides

I'm just wondering which of the above two is better or advantageous in a certain situation. I've tried both and so far i prefer shorter strides cause they require shorter movements and they are way faster

  1. if ur doing a sprint start out with short fast strides then once you have built up speed run at ur comfortable stride


  2. shorter cause it gives you more power

    and it lets you turn directions alot faster

  3. it depends what position you play and what your trying to accomplish. if its speed you want then you want to take longer strides, if its quickness and mobility then the shorter strides are probably better
