I want to take my kitchen cupboards and counters from my foreclosure house. I bought a new house and paid cash for it and it has cupboards in it that I don't like. Can I switch them out and put them in my old house and bring my cabinets from my old house to the new one

  1. Yes, that is generally acceptable. Cupboards are usually considered fixtures on a house, so if you want to remove them when you leave the house, you will need to replace the existing ones.

Just make sure no other large amount of damage is done to the property when switching out the cupboards. If the ones in the foreclosed house can not be removed without causing damage, then it either needs to be repaired or the fixtures should not be moved in the first place.

    Good luck.

  2. just depends who beside you know what the kitchen cabinets look like if no one has inspected the house who is going to know that you switched out the cabinets?

  3. The foreclosure house is the bank's and you can be held liable for anything you do to it.

  4. If it is being foreclosed, you don't own it any longer. Should one of the neighbors (who has a beef with you) call the police, you are going to get arrested.

  5. Your not suppose to, but most people usually trash the place before they leave. as long as you replace it with something I dont see how it matters the bank will sell it cheap and whoever buys it will most likely gut it and start over.
