  1. That's the year 2012, the Mayan calendar ends Dec 12, 2012--why is that?  The lost book of Nostradamus says something about the year 2010 or 2012 and great devastation...somewhere I heard there is a huge comet coming in 2012 that will destroy the world.  This is an interesting question, with all of the other things I mentioned above, I must say I have really been pondering the answer to that question, but not because of any political candidate.  Our dollar is only worth about 65cents in Euro's.  Our athletes are choosing to play for countries that pay in Euro's because they get so much more..our gas prices, our food prices, our oil prices, our inflation rate, the recession--none of it can change by an election except momentarily.  sorry I have no answer to your question, just more questions

  2. Basically in lots of trouble either way, but less so with McCain. The economy will not magically get fixed no matter who is elected. Anyway, I'll be dead and it won't matter to me. I pity those who have to live through the next 10 years.

  3. If McCain gets elected: Bigger Government, more taxes, less personal freedom, more restrictive laws, economic failure.

If Obama gets elected: Even BIGGER Government, more taxes, less personal freedom, more restrictive laws, economic failure.

  4. It's going to be ROUGH- whoever gets in... High Energy Prices are here to Stay (& that goes for Gas, too). Ongoing Threats from Terrorists & the Middle East will Continue to Unsettle Us. China's continued Growth in World Trade Markets- will continue to sap money & resources from OUR Economy... And our OWN ballooning Deficits & expenditures- will force Our Government to make some pretty HARD Choices as to what to "Keep" & what to "Cut". ... Since NOTHING is really "Equal" in Life, it's usually Our "Perceptions" of things that make them "seem" tolerable or not. Right now, People are very Unhappy with the Bush Administration...-& THAT "perception" of Him as a POOR Leader- is making a softening Economy seem WORSE than it really Is... To COUNTER that perception, I think most People are looking for a Change; someone "fresh & new" & Inspiring- to help guide them over the Challenges that Lie ahead... And THAT's why, all of a sudden, we have someone like Obama as a Candidate for Change, & McCain as the candidate for "staying the course..." Who would do "better"- is anybody's guess. But if you're a Believer in the "Promise of the Future..."- then Barack Obama is the BETTER choice for the Country... ... .

  5. either way were in trouble economically and more freedoms taken away

  6. the world is in for a lot of trouble both economically and politically. Plus, the big one might hit California. McCain, Obama, it does not matter. The next four years, one big headache!

  7. What I see is that Obama will get elected and really mess up because of lack of experience and the instability of the economy and politics around the world. We will get rid of him after 4 years and in his place we will elect somebody who is as conservative as they come. Our country will return to its isolationist policies and we will close our borders to ALL immigration. We will adopt policies such as English only laws, g*y marriage will be banned, certain freedoms will be taken away. I see a whole new conservatism on the horizon if Obama really messes up. Let's face it people are easily suggestible. We get some silver tongued raging conservative preaching about a return to "traditional" American values after a liberal Democrat really messes up? It is a recipe for disaster. I am not very optimistic at where this country will be in four years!
