In ga minimum wage is 5.15/ hr and federal is 6.55/hr can someone explain this statement under additonal info?

The State law excludes from coverage any employment that is subject to the Federal Fair Labor Standards Act when the Federal rate is greater than the State rate.

does this apply to say a chick fil a resturaunt and do we make state of federal wage.

  1. ga has to raise its minimum wage above or the same as federal. so you should be getting a raise.
