In gaia how do you evolve your item?

I got the Kelp o' th' Loch and it evolves today how do I change it

Usually if you unequip your item after it has evolved, the new poses for the evolution will be available to you when next you try to re-equip it. It might not change until the Evolving Item Report is posted in the announcements.

If you're not wearing the item at the time it's evolving, you shouldn't have to do anything.  If you're wearing it, perhaps try un-equipping the item and then re-equipping it.

Items evolve on their own.
