  1. Very true!

  2. Yep!!!

  3. Yes, until you hit the Equator, then it starts getting cooler the further south you go.

  4. To a certain extent yes. But..if you traveled so far south that you went past the equator, it would begin to get cooler again as you kept traveling. That's why it's so cold at the "top" and "bottom" of the earth, and so tropical right smack dab in the middle.

  5. oh, it can get downright humid...very moist. i love to hang out there whenever i can.

  6. generally speaking the closer you go to the equator the hotter it gets. Antartica would be all the way "South" and its colder than the north pole down there.

if its on an island or a coast the temperature will also be cooler, but more stable than smack in the middle of a continent.

  7. That ain't necessarily true as it all depends on your definition of "hotter" or hotness.  Here in the USA the further South the less hot action but more weather type hotness i.e. heat.  Also South of where?  It can get soooo confusing.

    Hot pink lace

  8. no not really

  9. Depends on humidity.

  10. only if you go mouth to south

  11. The closer to the equator you get, generally the warmer it becomes.

  12. and more humid  very moist indeed

  13. What you observed is the change of temperature with Longitude.

If you live in the Northern hemisphere then it'll get hotter till you reach the equator. The trend is the temperature to get warmer from The North Pole till the equator. Once you reach the equator then it'll gradually start getting cooler as you approach the South Pole.

But there are other factors which could be the governing factors for temperature at a place. Namely

    - Altitude (i.e how high the place is from mean sea level) - Higher you are the cooler it is.

    - Vegetation (it is always hotter in a desert than in a forest)

    - Location (land locked area or the coast)

    - Amount of Rainfall(depends on the location)

All these factors put together determine the temperature at a place.

  14. yes

  15. The closer you are to the equator, the hotter it gets.

  16. I think it is the closer you get to the equator

  17. In more ways than one!

  18. If you're in the Northerm hemisphere of the world, yes, to a certain extent.

The truth is that the closer to the Equator you are, the warmer it is, as this is where the Sun hits the Earth first and most directly.

If you're not sure what I just said, or what Equator means, then the Equator is an imaginary line that goes around the middle of the Earth horizontally. Look at this diagram on this link to see what I mean:

I hope that's helped you understand!

  19. I suppose that would depend where you started from.  The Equator is the hottest place on Earth (goes round the middle) so I imagine if you go South of there it would be colder.  The South Pole (the Southermost point in the world in Antarctica) is also pretty cold I think.  Where I live in Scotland though it is warmer if you travel South.

  20. The wetter it gets. More 'forests' too!

  21. In general, yes, if you are in the northern hemisphere.

when you get to the equator it will, in general get colder

  22. Ever heard of Antarctica?

  23. its warm in aus lmao you sick  lol i thought you were serious  well done

  24. for sure....and very moist....but the north can be very hot as well....suck the juices right out of ya if your not careful.....♥

  25. Yes - It's medium here in the southwest, cuz we're the middle part.

  26. South=Bliss......x

  27. Pretty much

    ~MLF~

  28. No, it's the further YOU travel south.

  29. kinda, its really just the closer u get to the equator the hotter it gets

  30. It depends on where you are. In general, if you are in the northern hemisphere, yes. If you are in the southern hemisphere, it gets colder. But this is just a generalization, it really depends on where you are (country, state, region)
