In general who are nicer people Engliah or Irish?

i'm English & think there good & bad in both countries...however - i have to admit, the Irish have the most well behaved rugby & football fans in the world!!

- they watch sport with a passion, have a few beers & enjoy themselves...many of the English fans like a spot of bother after their pint!! - shame!

the irish and english have practically the same personalities...

all depends what part of the county you are in... if you are in a city then you would find more self centered people who are out to look after themselves and arent friendly to strangers or you could be in a town or village where the majority are friendly to anyone and everyone

In general we have the same type of lying two faced civil servants/ politicians. So we have to put up with the same degree of stupidity in places where some common sense should reign supreme.

There is 2 Ireland's northern Ireland and the republic off Ireland and both are OK  and i have family in England and i love English people

I'm married to an English man.My kids are born and bred Irish.Although I'd say a nice English person is as nice as any nice Irish person in general I'd say the Irish are a little more light hearted and laid back.It's something they are reknowned for the world over and it's definitely true.Pretty much anywhere in Ireland you can stop a stranger and they'll give you the time of day but I remember years ago in London looking for directions and it was just too much bother for some to take the time to help out.It's the fast pace of life that's causing it more than anything and probably Ireland will get to be the same way.

well, the irish tend to be friendlier in a sort of more obvious way - like they talk to whoever & strike up a conversation with someone , & if you go into an irish pub, be prepared to be up & dancing to irish music!!! in england, people tend to be more reserved, but once you get to know them, are just as nice!

but really, you can't stereotype, seeing as everyone has different personalities!!
