  1. You have received all kinds of advice as to the cause. The best remedy is to take a series of lessons from a teaching golf pro, who will analyze your swing, make necessary adjustments on the grip, the swing plane and your swing. You will better understand the causes and be able to do your own correcting in the future. You will  also enjoy the game more for knowing what has gone wrong. Enough for band-aid remedies.

  2. get a friggin lesson! but otherwise, id say just make sure ur feet are shoulder lengh apart, i'd have the back foot pointed slightly off to the right and back, then finally, id take a golf glove, put it under your right armpit (right handed golfer) and hit a series of shots not letting your elbow move from the side of your body and keeping the glove in place

  3. Like anything else in life it takes practice. I am 22 and I have a 10 handicap. When I was young I took some practices so I can have the correct golf swing.

After that I have been reading articles from Golf Magazine, Tiger Woods book How I play golf, and Jack Nicklaus Lesson Tee (both Tiger Woods and Jack Nicklaus books will be your bible for the next several years). Read those books/ articles on the s*****r, practice your swing when your not doing anything. but most importanly just PRACTICE. But before you practice make sure you are doing it the correct way.

I have invested thousands upon thousands of hours in golf. its a sport that you can always learn and do better. your not going to loss that slice in a day. this will take you months, years, but hopefully not a lifetime.

  4. use the tee drill set up 3 tees one directly straight behind the clubhead the other 2 one below and one above that center tee, leave enough room to swing over the top of ur tees now bring ur clubface over the center tee and hit a few balls like that now bring the clubface over the bottom 1 tee and u should draw the ball. remember keep ur clubhead low 2 the ground. top tee u should slice the ball. u probably have a "flying elbow" effect making u slice the ball

  5. It is probably the angle of your club, most likely your arms are not straight enough or you are holding your club the wrong way.

  6. I'm willing to bet your arms do not make a "y" but a "Y" shape...your left arm has to be in line with the club and your right arm comes in at an angle when you addres the ball.  This applies to any club.  Watch any pro hit the ball and you will see this clearly.  I used to be a s#$tty golfer but this simple tip made 15 strokes difference.  Now I need to learn how to putt.

  7. It is caused by your swing, you are hitting the ball on a OUT-TO-IN swing path, this is putting sidespin on your ball and causing it to slice.

Let me first reassure you, YOU ARE NOT ALONE!! Over 80% of amateurs suffer from this fate and it is the most common fault in ALL GOLFERS!!!

Everyone uses different methods to beat this problem. Mine is this: -

I keep my legs as still as possible, this encourages my hips to turn rather than move (Trust me their is a difference!!) when I swing the club.

Because my hips are turning as I swing, the Club is staying much straighter which means that as long as I keep my left arm fairly straight and don't swing too hard the ball goes straight. I hope this helps

  8. With your irons or all clubs?  Your clubface has to be square to the ball at impact or it's going to go whichever way the clubface is pointed.  If it slices, you're making contact with the hosel.  You may be too close to the ball or you're cutting across the ball on your downswing.  Concentrate on keeping the clubface square throughout your swing.

  9. First off it is wise to strengthen the grip

My second suggestion is to move the ball back in your stance

A good knee flex is also advisable.

It's been my experience that the most important part of the golf swing could very easily be the first twenty inches back from the ball. This allows you to get the proper shoulder turn.

    This should help you! Enjoy.

  10. have you ever tryed a hybrid...my father has one and he sayz that they are pretty darn good...so if thats the last opition..then i would go for the hybrid!

  11. try changing your grip or turning you club head to the left or right
