In groups..how do u make sure that only the members can access the mais and photos and join with permission?

this takes a few steps

management- under group setting click membership- Membership Type and Welcome Message (Edit) <-- click the edit- select restricted- click save changes (now you will apporve memberships)

management- under group setting click messages-

Posting and Archives (Edit) <-- click the edit- look in top columns and make it all members- then go to Archive Options lower, and check members- click save changes

only the links and calendar can be made public

management- under group setting click web tools- web tools (edit) <-- click the edit- scroll and be sure none are checked public, they should be members- click save changes
