I hate them but i seem to get them and not done anything about them, they're not really that bad you wouldn't be able to tell by looking at them but they keep coming back i want to know if there's a painless way a doctor can refer me to have them removed...can't bare the pain of having them or getting rid of them :) Any thoughts??

  1. There is no un painful way to get rid of them. go to podiatrist and scream. bc they hurt and i hate the foot doctor.

  2. I had to have surgery to remove my ingrown toe nail problem.

The surgeon cut my nail all the way down to the bone so now all the nail I have is what you see.  You know how you can pull the skin beside your nail back and there is some nail there, well not with me.  Now all I have to do is cut straight across.  So much easier and a lot quicker and no more ingrown toe nails!!

  3. get a pedicure. those asian vietnma ladies really know how to get in there and get those ingrown nails out. just go to your local nail shop and tell them and they'll take care of it for you.

  4. If you live in the UK [free on NHS] you can go under anasthetic and get them pulled out so when they grow back they'll be straight.

Go talk to your family GP.

    Hope I Helped, X.

  5. about four years ago I got toenail fungus and it made my nail start to make ingrown nails. After about two years of having them and the fungus I went to a podiatrist and he had me do a procedure that removes the ingrown toenail part permenantly. I decided to go ahead and do it and it wasn't that bad. I had ingrown nails on both sides of both big toes. What they do is numb your toes with injections and then the doctor will come in clip off the ingrown nail parts all the way to the base of that nail. Then once he removes the base of the sliver of nail he then will put a chemical that will damage the growing function of that sliver of nail preventing it from growing anymore. The only painful part of the procedure was the injections, the rest was a piece of cake because you couldn't feel anything. They put a big bandage on the toe and send you home. I highly reccomend this procedure! It is great not ever having to worry about the ingrown nails ever again! Good luck!

  6. I've had both my big toes done. You have a few injections in your toes to numb it. I must admit it really really hurts to have the injections but that is the only part that hurts. Dont worry about it and get it done. You'll be so much better after and you cant tell that you've had it done. Mine look really good. They dont hurt after you've had it done either.

  7. You can take a nail file and put it in the crack of between the skin and the nail and get out all fungi dirst and debris that will really help i get theese all the time and that ALWAYS salves the probleme and its painless :)
