It means number of notes correct/number of notes thats been played.

It means how many notes you have hit correctly out of the number of notes that have been played.

Notes hit > 32/36 < Notes played.

it means how many you got correctly out of how many total

I am pretty sure that is the number of notes hit correctly out of that section of the song when you are in practice mode
