In guitar hero 3 how can i play "battle songs" outside of career?

yet again, guitar hero, fun yes, but not real guitar...meaning not belonging in the performing arts section...try video games

I know on ps2 you can't. On the 360 though, you can download the three boss battles to play in Quick Play, so you might be able to do the same for PS3. Just check the downloads, I guess, I don't really know how the PS3 works.
