im doing an assignment in hairdressing. it says on the sheet,summarise the key aspects of the following legal requirements: equal opportunities... disability discrimination.. sale of goods and services...

trades description.. and i have not got a clue about any of them.. please help

  1. Disability discrimination happens when you refuse to hire someone because they have a disability that does NOT interfere with their job.   For example, would you hire a hair dresser who was blind.  Of course not!  How could they do their job.... seeing is required.  However, if you refused to hire a hairdresser because she stuttered/had slowed speech  or was of an "undesirable" race you would be discriminating against her.  

    If you refuse to do someone hair because she is in a wheelchair or because she is of an "undesirable" race, then you would be guilty of discrimination of discriminating against her for the sale of goods and services.
