  1. I always thought it was Harry trying to tell Myrtle what the egg said, Because the song said

"Come seek us where our voices sound,

We cannot sing above the ground,

And while you're searching, ponder this:

We've taken what you'll sorely miss,

An hour long you'lll have to look,

             And recover what we took,

But past an hour - the prospect's black

Too late, it's gone, it won't come back."

So he was saying that if he needed persuading to complete the task, he has because they have taken something that means alot to him.

  2. can you give me like a whole paragraph? It might help me to explain better!

  3. I think it's saying that he lacks motivation to complete the task. I mean, he feels like everyone is against him and he doesn't know what's going on, so it's very confusing and tough for him, so add these really hard tasks on top of all that, and it's gonna be hard to find motivation/persuasion.

But that's just my opinion, I could be wrong.
