Yes, to meet Gray, along with Dr. Trent, Cliff and Rick, you'll need the GBA connection. You can use either 'Friends of Mineral Town' or 'More Friends of Mineral Town'. It won't matter which one you use, because the MT girls will also visit.

Once you have the GBA connection, Gray will visit once a week (like the other MT characters). Gray's day off is on Thursday.

All MT characters (except for Mary), can be found in the Inner Inn guest room first thing in the morning.

Gray will then go to the excavation site around 10 and leave at 5pm, and then head off to the Blue Bar on a sunny day (Inner Inn lobby on a rainy/snowy day).
