In high school, when do you take s*x ed classes?

It depends on your school. We don't have s*x ed classes; we talk it about it more in Theology (yeah, obvz. I go to a Catholic school). We started freshman year.

In NY, it's very briefly covered in Biology (which is 10th grade) and full-scale s*x ed is covered in Health, which you have to take in high school but you can take any year you'd like.

sadly, they don't call it strictly s*x ed anymore.

and they only spend a few weeks on std's.

so I wouldn't call it s*x ed.

but they usually teach it in Health Class.

and as a hint I would take it freshman year to get it out of the way. :]

&& it's a little late these days to be teaching s*x Ed in high school. They should seriously start doing it in 5th grade like they used too, because there's a lot of 13 year olds pregnant these days.

We learned about it in 4th grade, but it wasn't all that detailed. We had to take the actual s*x ed/health classes Freshman year. Which now a days, is definantly too late.

its different in different states. you take it when you take health. in new york i took it in 10th grade. i know people in north carolina that took it in 9th grade

It is covered in Health Class usually your Freshman, maybe Sophomore year. However when I was in like 4th grade, maybe 5th, they covered it some, it was just a few hour thing. Boys went somewhere and girls went somewhere else and they taught us about s*x. Girls got a free pad and boys got free deoderaunt..LOL

In my school they had no s*x ed classes. It was very necessary though because the UK has the highest teen pregnancy rate in the whole of Europe!

What we had was sometimes a teacher come in telling us not to touch and stuff.. What we had was science explaining reproduction. What we had was workshops for Black British/African/Caribbean kids and the person in there would tell you there's more to life than s*x and gangs..

I had no proper s*x ed classes.. I wish we did though.. Some people at my school did it when they were 14 years old!

i got all of that in middle school because a lot of girls got pregnant in the 6th grade

At my school there isn't a s*x ed class, or at least thats not

what its called. We just have health class. I took it my

sophmore year but now a lot of freshmen at my school take

it because of certain schedule changes.

I took health my junior year, we spent about three weeks covering the importance of abstinence until marriage. (yeah, real helpful)

I kinda wish they would; it might help some of the people at my school.

All we have is health in freshman year and all the teach is staying active and not doing drugs.

Maybe try looking it up on your school website or something; it might say the classes you can take and in what grade.
