In high school do you have to shower and change in front of people?

Yeah, I took last year PE and we do shower, but we don't HAVE to. I took a shower and changed in front of the other girls on occasion, but that was only because my feet stank after running the mile. Other than that, I wait until I get home to shower.

We didn't have to.  We never had any time to shower.

at my school there were bathroom stalls in the locker room so the ppl who didnt want to change in front of ppl could just go in there....

If you take gym, yes.

But you don't do it in front of everybody, just other boys.

Back in the old days, the guys showered in a common area.  The girls had stalls.  Changing wasn't that big of a deal for me, even when I was shy.  Most guys don't really care what you have.  I can't speak for the women though.

um you dont have to shower but you have to change infront of people if you have p.e

yes we do change in front of each other in gym,  but the showers are closed because someone died in them i believe... im not sure but the showers are closed.

no you dont, there are places were you can change away from people. We had personal showers in our public school and or people would use the bathrooms to change. So not necessarily.

In sports, the modesty thing was important, but really when you're hot and sweaty and dirty and have done more wind sprints in one day than you did the whole time you were in junior high, you just want to get clean.

It's not like being a nudist or anything, you just go to the shower, get clean and go on about your day.  No big deal.

Other than the modesty, what you REALLY need to be concerned about is where everyones feet have been!  I always wore flip flop type shoes in the shower, no questions asked.

yes you have to change in front of people in the lockers for gym

as for showering, no one showers at my school...so i guess it depends

you must change clothes if you are taking some kind of physical education class, but you might not have to shower depending on the coaches/sport
