In highschool do the girls usually use totes or backpacks?

normally most ppl, boys and girls just use backbacks... they are easier and more comfortable especially if you have alot to carry... i would probably say that only about five kids (boys and girls) had a tote bag out of about a thousand kids...

im going to be a junior and so far in high school i never carried a backpack. i carry a tote. some girls do carry backpacks but its more common to see them with totes.

well this what i us usually do if i feel like being cute i use a tote or if i don't have that many things.

but when i know i m going to have allot of heavy book then i take my backpack plus now a days they have really cute backpacks now:)

i graduated 2 yrs ago, but in my hs noone did either. we carried all of our books and changed the out inbetween classes only freshmen wore backpacks

I am going to 10th grade and ever since i started high school i got this obsession with tote bags, i think i have like 10 lol. I mainly use totes but on my lazy days i use a backpack so i dont have to carry anything with my hands lol

99% of the girls in my school had totes.

just make sure it's a roomy one if you get it and that it doesn't have uncomfortable straps (like those rope looking ones).

i hardly went to my locker but kept my textbooks in there if i needed one after school or something.

backpacks are fine too, not like the hardcore jansport ones though.

i think it's easier to replace totes.. they usually cost less than the backpacks.

it depends on how much things you have because if you get a tote all the weight of your books, and etc. is on one shoulder. I myself like to use a backpack because it has the comfortable cushion for your shoulders. no one really cares its whatever is comfortable and easier for you.

I use a tote, a back pack, a drawstring bag.

I use them all.

I found I like the backpacks more. Its just so much easier to use that a tote.

Mostly because they can get heavy and you are using one shoulder to carry.

There are some really cute back packs.

Either one I think. I like backpacks because they usually hold more and you have less chance of things falling out. I think totes are more trendy, but backpacks are more logical I think

In my school, we don't have lockers that we're able to use. I mean we have lockers but we don't have time to go get books and stuff inbetween classes.

So most kids in my school use backpacks because we have to lugg our books back and forth.

There are some kids with totes and those kids usually end up carrying their books, or having HUGE totes.

It depends on your school.

If you have lockers and won't need/mind carrying books around, and you see a lot of other people using totes, and you want to be like everyone else, you should get a tote.

You could try getting a backpack and a tote and switching them out, so you can be inbetween 'crowds'.

Whatever the school designates.  Some have to be open mesh, see through etc.

Doesn't it bother you that this above policy is about teens bringing weapons to school?   Let's have some positive peer pressure on teen crime and bring down the awful murder rates.

I'm going to be a sophomore, and what is a good idea is to buy both a tote or backpack (unless you already have them), and a large-ish binder. 2 1/2 inches is ideal. First week or so of school wear the backpack with binder inside. Once you start getting the hang of school and you know when you need certain books, have a tote for your books and hold your binder in your arms(popular fad). And don't worry, carrying a book/tote doesn't portray you as high matinence or down to earth. Guys don't notice.
