In his prime, was anybody faster than Hector Camacho?

Pernell Whitaker was no way faster than Macho Camacho in his prime.  He was quick yes but his combinations werent nearly as blinding as Hector's.  Watch some footage of prime Camacho, for example, his fight against Rafael Solis in 1983 or Bazooka Limon.  his speed was scary.  It's too bad Edwin Rosario turned him into a safety first runner after their fight because before that fight Camacho was a true talent.  I'm glad Chavez never had to fight him at 130 because in the early 80s Camacho had a real shot.

Sugar Ray Leonard.....maybe......he truly was amazingly quick.  Robinson, Ali?  Please.

There have been many faster than Camacho, but Hector had something that many did not, he had heart and a great chin, he was tough to put down.  He was flashy but he could fight, unlike Hector Jr., who assumed he could start off being flashy, he did not earn it, Sr. did.  Did I just pull a Larry Merchant and veer off course, oh well, I can't help it when I talk about boxing.  Whooooo!

Leonard, with his "whole-lotta-nothing-swats" were faster.  

Floyd Mayweather has speed that our present techniques just can't measure.  

Roy Jones was faster than "Macho" every day of the week.

Heck, even Floyd Patterson was faster with his hands than Camacho. . . . I'd bet Kid Gavilan, during his inside body attacks was also faster. . .

But then again.  . I've just never been much of a Camacho fan.  He was really, very fast, but that's about it.

Hector Camacho was like lighting i loved him as a fighter with great balance and footwork...pernell was one of the best defensive fighters but never faster than Camacho...faster maybe, Roy Jones jr, sugar ray leonard, sugar shane mosley
