I can't believe everyone's forgotten the epic battles of Carlos Monzon and Rodrigo Valdez. The top two middleweights of their day, and Monzon arguably the greatest middleweight of all time.

Hugo Corro followed but was bludgeoned by the clever tactics of Vinnie, eh, what's his name. Alan Minter beat him, then got smacked around by Marvin Hagler, who was the next great.

Early in his career, Roberto Duran was defeated by Esteban DeJesus. Duran soundly whipped him in rematches.

Oh, and the light-heavyweight title fight between Michael Spinks and Eddie Mustafa Muhammed (formery Eddie Griffin.) The right the Spinks threw to close Griffin's eye was so fast, Eddie was on the canvas before the announcers could react.

Gatti-Ward was CERTAINLY a classic bout.  I was happy to know they both got paid handsomely for their 3rd fight.  It's bout time someone got paid for their performance instead of their weight.
