I never understood what the announcers mean when they say the home team has the last line change in hockey. I looked up the NHL rules regarding changing of players during a game and I couldn't find anything that said the home team gets the last line change. Can someone explain this to me?

  1. The away team always has the first one. So the home team gets the last one.

  2. it means tht inbetween line changes and at the start of peroids the away team has to put there line out first. thn the ref stops thm from changing and the home team changes thus havin an advantage to put who they want out against the line the away team puts out

    hope tht helps
