In how many years will we see Europe...?

sign more 5star recruits out of high school than the the NCAA.

Suppose Brandon Jennings (i know he had academic trouble) has a successful year in Europe making a couple million + $$$ (and becomes a lottery pick next year), will this make top high school talent seek going over to Europe to make some dough (especially those that need to make some money to support their families) instead having to go to class everyday and not get paid to make schools big money playing ball?

Will the NBA be inclined to than start letting high schoolers declare for the draft again?

Could this result in a bidding war between European teams and the NBA for rookies due to the NBA's rookie salary structure and Europe's tax free policy?

thoughts??? (please note i am talking about top high school prospects...the rivals 5 star one's)

  1. I HOPE THEY ALL DO!!NBA AND THE NCAA HAVE NO RIGHT TO TELL ANYBODY WHEN AND WHERE THEY CAN PLAY PRO BALL!!

  2. If Brandon Jennings is very successful for the one year that he will be overseas then yes. Think about it, most guys would love to jump straight from high school to the NBA. Just think Durant, Oden, Beasley, Rose, Mayo and plenty others would had jumped right from high school to the pros. But thanks to this new rule they cant. So other top high school players might look at What Jennings did and say, why not. I can still do what I love which is playing ball and get paid for it, unlike college.

Plus they would still be able to be drafted in the NBA Its almost a no brainier. Also a lot of scouts might take in consideration of the fact that the prospects are playing with and alongside grown men. Which would really help them to get NBA ready unlike college ball.  So yea if Jennings is successful and becomes a lottery pick in the draft then I see a lot of young stars following in his footsteps.
