Apart from the 9 states listed by others (W.Bengal, Orissa, TamilNadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Goa, Maharashtra & Gujarat), 2 union territories - Puduchery (former French colony) & Daman-Diu (along with Goa, former Portuguese colony), also share the coast.

Puduchery: All the constituent parts - Puduchery & Karaikal surrounded by Tamilnadu, Mahe surrounded by Kearala and Yanam surrounded by Andhra Pradesh are on coast.

Daman & Diu are surrounded by Gujarat; Diu at the sothernmost tip of Semi-circle shaped Kathiawad peninsula and Daman on the West coast of mainland india.

Guajarat has the longest coast of about 1600 kilometers but folded into 2 gulfs. Andhra Pradesh has about 1000 kilometers in a straight stretch so that the ends  of the coast have longer distance compared to Gujarat coast.
