the last time i saw lost in space in 1966 there were on a deserted planet why don't you get on youtube and see if they got lost in space

They were on their way to the *closest* star system, and they stopped on other planets before reaching it... Makes sense, does it?

So, I feel they were lost until the writers got tired, and abandoned them. Good riddance, actually, that show was not very good and even was picked over Star Trek by the CBS network (Star Trek then having to go to NBC which had lower ratings and changed its schedule all the time before canceling it). The last episode of Lost In Space did not feature them reaching their goal, as the show as canceled due to (pick one, there are several conflicting theories) poor rating, lack of interest, being disliked by a network executive, or escalating costs.

And personally, I prefer the original Star Trek to the original Lost in Space, so ha! lol =p.
