Is it legal to have to names on a auto title. And if so when the auto is registered at the dmv does both names go on the regrestion? anyone have any insight

  1. Yes, LA can have two names listed on the title.  I don't believe, however, that LA lists "and/or" between the names on the title.  The two owners would be equal, and both signatures would be required to sell the vehicle.

    When the auto is registered at the DMV, both names will show as "owner", but you can choose if you would like one or both to be the registration renewal recipient.


  2. Probably. There is a key word inserted on this type document though. It can have "and" between the names or it can have "or" between them. If it says "and" you need both signitures to sell it or any other legal dealings.
