In love with someone that doesn't exist?

This may sound stupid and I don't know if it will make sense. But you know how artsy people live much of their lives in their imagination? Well, here's my question: do you think it's possible to fall in love with a person that you invented in your mind that doesn't exist?

Yeah and sometimes i pretend that its really my boyfriend and then he shows me his real face through my delusions. Yeah i'ved lived with my imaginary lover since i was ten and its dangerous if you don't keep it in check because if you find someone that resembles this perfect person you can really get hurt.

YES. I TOTALLY AGREE. You have no idea how correct your theory is.

It might sound crazy but, there's this guy in my mind. LOL Because you know how, you'd want "mister perfect." And you'd create him in your mind because in real life it's just too good to be true? Sighs.

Everytime I think of him, I go all.. wierd. I start smiling out of nowhere and it's that feeling where you can't take it, so you start "squealing."

Haha, I love my imagination! It keeps me entertained.

Ohh my goodness Let me tell you,, Yes it is and its more than that because it finally happened, I found him, I swear everything  i thought of and everything  about him is the same person im in love with inside ,, And he found me about a month ago.. its unbelievable but true, I've never in my life been so shocked in my life and i just told him about it, He is the man that lives in my dreams that is in love with me as much as im in love with him,, and im not a teenager!! God keep dreaming and i hope you find him like i found my dream.. good luck and keep dreaming, I never thought i'd be the one who would say dreams do come true,,but they do!

Why shouldn't you? Maybe "he" will never cheat on you, maybe he cleans his mess, maybe he's always laughing, maybe he doesn't pee the bathroom floor....Maybe "he" might turn real, even if only in your mind. What's real anyway?

Im an artsy person too.. To tell you the truth i imagine a "perfect lover" too cause i never found one in my life.. Someone who is a god send and totally understands me as a person and sexually too.. Theres nothing wrong with that.. But to live in this world is to accept disappointment.. I dated many girls and not one was spiritually connected to me!! I would obsess over why i couldnt find a girl to make me fulfilled to the point of depression and drinking heavy.. Id see happy couples and want to vomit!! But now i just let it go and live my life and see what happens.. Its better than fantacizing or getting sick over myself.. But maybe if you keep visualizing and praying to god to find this person it could happen!! Good luck!!

I think that it's possible to be in love with the IDEA of that perfect man/woman but I'm not too sure if it's really possible to be in love with someone you have invented.

But then again, I am pretty young so I'm not too sure!
