  1. Hmmmm. Actually, it seems a card or token becomes a permanent only as long as it is in play. The main five permanent types are creature, artifact, enchantment, land, and planeswalker. So long as they are in play, they are permanents.

Weird that I never knew that. I hope it never mattered >.<

  2. Yes, a permanent is basically any card that isn't a sorcery or an instant.

  3. yup. anycard that could last longer than 1 step (i.e. draw, upkeep, comabt) is a permanent

  4. In Magic, the term Permanents refers to everything that remains on the board. Obviously, this includes the lands and the creatures, as well as any token things (usually creatures, but with the coming of Future sight, token enchantments are not uncommon.) Everything else is not a permanent.

All permanents go to the graveyard. It doesn’t matter if they are token copies, they still go to the graveyard long enough to trigger any abilities in the graveyard. A permanent is a permanent all the time. It doesn’t matter what zone it is, or if it’s in the game at all. It’s still a permanent.

    Hope that Helped!
