Question:

In march I ran 21.64 on 200m?

after that I got hurt but I was in a great shape...In 10 days Im gonna have my next 200m . Im stronger now and rested...what can I do to run under 21 sec before 30th of july?

  1. Getting under 21 is a big drop in time.

    Being rested may not help, especially if you were injured and have not been training.

    The important thing is not to re injure yourself.

    You know how to train and run just ease into it so you don't get hurt.


  2. If you aren't already doing so, try running longer distances such as 300, 350 or 400m. This should help you develop the speed endurance to sustain as much of your speed as possible in the latter part of your 200m races. It might be a bit soon to make such a large leap in times though, so don't be discouraged if you don't break 21 secs just yet.

  3. work on your acceleration and ending speed
