  1. If you're referring to natural numbers, it's the set of whole numbers starting with 1: 1, 2, 3, 4... It is designated by the letter N, often written in "blackboard bold" with a double line on the left: |N

    It may also include the number 0, although that is usually called |N0 (|N with a small 0 in the lower right-hand corner).


  2. Basically whole numbers which are found in nature. That excludes negative numbers.

  4. They are "simple" numbers. The ones you can use your fingers to count, but not limited to 10.

    A formal definition on wikipedia: "In mathematics, a natural number (also called counting number) can mean either an element of the set {1, 2, 3, ...} (the positive integers) or an element of the set {0, 1, 2, 3, ...} (the non-negative integers). The former is generally used in number theory, while the latter is preferred in mathematical logic, set theory, and computer science."
