border the value of it will drop by about 10%. I don't know how much a chocolate bar costs .

Exchange rate is about 11 pesos to the dollar.  Rule of thumb is divide # pesos by 10 to get approximate amount.  So 1000 Pesos would be about $100.  Chocolate bar is going to be maybe 10-11 pesos, or a buck, at most.  Mexican chocolate tastes a little different; dusty, less sugar?

If you have 1'000 pasos, that is NOTHING of money. "Pasos" means "steps".

Mexican currency is "PESO", not "paso".

About $1'000 pesos, that is not many money (it is less than $100 american dollars). You could purchase the groceries for a week for a family of parents and two kids.
