Like what would you do to try out for a sport?

How would they choose who gets to be on what team... (team A, B, C.... 'A' being best & 'C' being the not-so-great players)

What would the "judges" look for so they could choose who's on what team.

Help, I'm gonna have to try out for a sport soon!!

  1. not all schools have it (mine dosent).

but they would choose it by skill simply.if you are

                           good-best

                           bad-worst

so be the best at what ever you do

  2. Usually, you try out in each sport individually, and the coaches make the selections, based on the skills you have, and the skills that others have.

For example, let's say you were trying out for volleyball, and your best skill in volleyball was setting.  In that situation, they'd compare your skills against other potential setters.

I'm not familiar with any system that asks athletes to try out for athletics in general.

  3. At my Jr. High, they had an "open tryouts" for everything.  What happens is they have many categories.  For Baseball, they usually have pitching, catching, base-running speeds.

Basketball, they do ability to shoot, layups, foul shots, 3 pointers, passing and overall stamina.

The judges, persay, are always the coaches, and they scale everyone together, then see the top 10-12 are on the "A" team, and place the other accordingly.
