  1. Nancy Karigan is a famous loser.

You have to win all your fights like mentioned above but all so win in a dominant way.  Not any of this 3rd round split decision nonsense.

  2. By winning, usually by knockout or any other spectacular fashion.

    good luck!

  3. Beyond just winning, be unique, have a personality.

  4. Win All your Fights and Be unpredictable!!

Fame only comes to those who excel at something!

Do you know of any famous losers?

  5. work hard

  6. It's more than just winning, though winning is essential.

It's about marketing yourself and working hard and being professional.

marketing yourself: Get a manager who will help you develop as a fighter and find opponents for you.  Get a GOOD manager who can find three to four fights per year at least.  Get a Myspace or Facebook page up and update it regularly with news about you and your training and victories.  Make sure it has lots of pictures and video.  Return your fan emails if you get them, and make a mailing list that goes out to your fans once a month or so with the same news. (it might take a while before you have fans, but it never hurts to be prepared.)

Working Hard:  There is no "off season" for MMA.  You have to constantly be in fight shape and constantly seek out the best training you can find (not just in your area.  Don't be afraid to move if you're serious.)  You have to fight regularly in the biggest shows you can get into, seeking out TV coverage and press coverage whenever possible.  This is also where winning comes in.

Be Professional:  Remember that MMA is your JOB and CAREER.  That means when you are told to show up - either to fight or for a meeting or press conference, show up and give the event your full attention.  Don't be late or drunk or hung over on arrival, be alert and ready to go.  Avoid overtraining so that you don't injure oout of your fights.  Missing one or maybe two fights won't kill you (though it certainly won't help you) but missing three or four CAN.  Promoters like guys and girls who SHOW UP.  You'll never be a head liner without professionalism.

Go to www.mmarecruiter.com to find a manager, or, even better, go to an MMA camp and tell them you want to be a fighter and then back it up with work ethic.

    Good luck!
